Unlock Reflex from Memory
Category Evolution: This describes where governed AI is heading. See the Roadmap for current status.
Memory-first control means governance scales with your system. The Control Plane remembers what you taught it - and applies that learning across new contexts.
You've stepped out of the sim. But the system hasn't forgotten. Every schema, agent, and reflex you taught is ready to take shape again.
Only this time, you're not building from scratch.
What Reflex Memory Means
Today's governance is explicit: you approve each action. Reflex memory extends this with pattern recognition - the system remembers your approvals and can propose similar actions in similar contexts.
The evolution:
- Today: Every proposal requires explicit approval
- Reflex Memory: Patterns from past approvals inform future proposals
- Still governed: You can review, reject, or adjust any reflex
How This Reinforces the Moat
Reflex memory deepens all three competitive claims:
| Claim | How Reflex Memory Reinforces It |
|---|---|
| Bring any AI | Memory is in your Control Plane, not in any specific AI |
| Nothing without approval | Reflexes are based on patterns YOU approved |
| Fire us, keep running | Your reflex patterns stay with your system |
The Reflex Lifecycle (Future)
The following describes planned capability. See Roadmap for current status.
1. Pattern Recognition
When you approve similar actions multiple times, the system recognizes the pattern.
2. Reflex Proposal
Azi proposes: "I've noticed you always approve X when Y happens. Should I suggest this automatically?"
3. Governed Reflex
If you approve, the reflex becomes active - but still shows in your proposal queue with a "reflex" tag. You can disable any reflex at any time.
4. Reflex Evolution
As your system evolves, reflexes evolve too. If a reflex starts proposing things you reject, it adapts.
Schema Packs (Future)
Schema packs are memory-first logic capsules - versionable, forkable, and reflex-bound.
A pack contains:
- Schemas - Definitions for incoming data
- Reference Schemas - Memory-backed configuration
- Composites - Joined models of system state
- Reflex Agents - Logic units that emit signals based on state
Schema packs are more than templates. They're memory-first logic capsules - versionable, forkable, and reflex-bound. You can publish your own (privately or publicly), and fork any you trust.
Memory-First Control Philosophy
The philosophy:
- Structure holds memory - Schemas encode what you've taught
- Reflexes wait for signals - They don't act until triggered
- You remain the author - Every pattern came from your approvals
Category Evolution Status
| Feature | Status | Impact |
|---|---|---|
| Basic Governance Loop | SHIPPED | Foundation for all memory |
| Pattern Recognition | Planned | System notices approval patterns |
| Reflex Proposals | Planned | Suggests automatic proposals |
| Schema Packs | Future | Shareable memory capsules |
What's Working Today
While reflex memory is still evolving, the foundation is working:
- Governance Loop - Every action queues for approval
- Warm Queries - Reusable, version-tracked queries
- Working with Azi - AI-assisted query building
The governance loop is the foundation for reflex memory. Start there to see how approval patterns work today.
