Execution Journeys
Goal: Build real systems with OpenIndustrial, end to end.
What is a Journey?
A journey takes you from zero to a working, governed system:
| Stage | What You Build |
|---|---|
| Connect | Data sources for your industry |
| Structure | Surfaces organized for your workflows |
| Query | Warm queries tailored to your metrics |
| Integrate | APIs for your existing tools |
| Govern | Full audit trail, team permissions |
Each journey ends with a deployable system and measurable outcomes.
Available Journeys
Two Tracks per Journey
Each journey offers two approaches:
| Track | When to Use |
|---|---|
| Hybrid | You have existing systems (SCADA, MES, historians). Add governance without replacing. |
| Full | Starting fresh or want complete control. Build the entire stack with OpenIndustrial. |
Both tracks deliver the same outcome: governed industrial AI. The difference is your starting point.
What You'll Achieve
By completing a journey, you'll have:
| Outcome | Description |
|---|---|
| Governed queries | Azi-built queries with full audit trail |
| API endpoints | REST APIs for external integration |
| MCP connection | Claude, Copilot, or any MCP-native AI connected |
| Team structure | Role-based access for your organization |
| Category metrics | Time to First Governed Query, Proposals/week |
Why Pharma First?
We chose pharmaceutical manufacturing as the first journey because:
- Highest compliance bar - If it works for pharma, it works anywhere
- Audit requirements - Governed AI shines where traceability matters
- Real business urgency - Batch failures cost millions
- Proves the pattern - Shows how governance enables, not restricts
Thinking Tip:
Even if you're not in pharma, the patterns translate. Compliance queries become quality queries. Batch tracking becomes production tracking.
